Herminio S. Beltran, Jr.

HERMINIO S. BELTRAN, JR. is division chief of the CCP Literary Arts Division. The author of two trilingual books of poetry, BAYAMBANG (1991) and LEMLUNAY (2003), he is the head of the National Committee on Literary Arts of the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA). In 2002, he received from NCCA the Gawad Alab ng Haraya for outstanding series of articles on culture and the arts. He studied journalism, literature and creative writing at the University of the Philippines where he served as president of the U.P. Writers Club (1975) and of the U.P. Journalism Club (1974) and editor of the Literary Apprentice (1983) and the Collegian Folio (1974).
