raise the quality of writing and the creative output of writers.

develop a reading public or an audience for literature.

encourage, develop, support and promote regional writings.

promote and protect the rights and interests of writers.
- To foster
understanding and close ties among local and foreign writers and other artists.
- To encourage professionalism
of writers.
The
following tasks and responsibilities of CCP Literary Arts Division are stated in line with CCP’s goal and objectives.
Objective 1. To
intensify training programs for artists and cultural workers and to showcase Filipino creativity here and abroad.
Goals. (1) Highly proficient literary artists. (2) A body of quality original Filipino works.
